John (Jed) Daughton Joins Lawley as Director of Sales Development


Lawley, a Top 50 independent insurance broker and family owned firm specializing in insurance, employee benefits, retirement planning, and wealth management, is pleased to announce the creation of a Director of Sales Development position and the appointment of John (Jed) Daughton to this role.
This strategic leadership position is designed to strengthen producer performance, accelerate organizational growth, and elevate the overall client experience.
Daughton will play a pivotal role in advancing Lawley’s commitment to delivering exceptional value. His focus on producer readiness, disciplined sales execution, and accountability will strengthen client relationships, enhance service, and create greater consistency across the organization.
As Director of Sales Development, he will lead the strategy behind Lawley’s sales growth in both property & casualty and employee benefits, building unified sales processes, improving prospecting and pipeline performance, and supporting producers through targeted training and coaching. By collaborating with agency leadership, he will help ensure Lawley’s market strategy supports sustained, long-term growth.
Prior to joining Lawley, Daughton served as Platform President for Upstate New York at Gallagher, contributing to commercial, personal, and employee benefits strategies. He also served as Agency President under AssuredPartners Buffalo and as President of Vanner Insurance Agency. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Canisius University.
