Recycle and go green for earth month

Everyone knows Earth Day is in April, but we need to celebrate our planet by giving back and helping to take care of it all year long—without it, we wouldn’t be here!

Get involved and give back:

  • Eat and shop local—eat healthier by participating in a Co-Op or Farmer’s Market
  • Go electronic – save paper and stop getting junk mail – let companies know you no longer want to receive paper bills, statements and other junk mail
  • Start Composting – more than a billion pounds of food are thrown away each year—make a difference by turning your food waste into soil (an easy way to do this is using the pulp from your juicer)
  • Recycle your e-waste – each year thousands of old electronics are thrown into landfills which pollute the environment. Most communities hold drop off days to safely recycle your electronics such as old laptops and cell phones
  • Clean Up—consider joining a volunteer group that hosts park or beach clean ups, or just pick up trash that you might see on the ground (if each person picks up a piece of trash, together we can all make a difference)
