Experience:

With 20+ years of experience, Mike actively prospects, solicits, quotes, and consults on new benefit insurance accounts, with a focus on generating new revenue through targeted sales efforts. Mike prepares and executes strategic business plans, secures RFPs, participates in team sales, and identifies cross-sell opportunities to expand client coverage. He also manages the onboarding process by maintaining all required documentation, obtaining signed applications, and ensuring all materials are accurately completed and submitted.

Prior to Lawley, Mike gained extensive benefits experience as the owner of an employee benefits consulting company, managing more than 150 large corporate accounts for Excellus BlueCross BlueShield. This background honed Mike’s expertise in strategic planning and cost-effective health care solutions, which he leverages in his role at Lawley.

Mike is a Group Benefits Disability Specialist (GBDS).

Education:

Mike earned a bachelor’s degree from St. John Fisher University.

Community and Pro Bono:

Mike is a freelance writer for Benefits Selling Magazine and an online human resource website. He has spoken at numerous seminars and been featured on local radio shows, sharing his industry expertise.

Additionally, Mike is actively involved in the Rochester community. He is a manager for the Penfield Little League, a coach for the Webster Jr. Warriors/Jr. Titans, and volunteers with several local nonprofits.
