As an Insurance Advisor, Harris specializes in professional liability insurance, cyber insurance, manufacturing liability insurance, and workers’ compensation.

Experience:

With 30+ years of experience, Harris actively prospects, solicits, quotes, and consults on new personal, business, and benefit insurance accounts, working to understand each client’s unique needs. He designs customized  insurance programs that minimize risk and protect client assets. Harris also prequalifies prospects for insurability and quality of risk, reviews expirations, endorsements, claims, audits, and cancellations, and ensures all necessary applications and documentation are accurately completed and submitted.

Prior to Lawley, Harris owned and operated Witkin Scott Associates, Inc., where he built a strong foundation in tailoring insurance solutions to meet complex client needs. Managing an independent agency exposed him to a wide spectrum of risks, sharpening his ability to design comprehensive property and casualty programs.

Harris joined Lawley when Witkin Scott Associates, Inc. merged with Lawley in 2026.

Accreditations:

Harris is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and holds a NYS Property & Casualty License, and a US Coast Guard 100 Ton Master License.

Industry Affiliations:

Harris is a member of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors, BIG I WNY, and UB’s Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Alumni Association. He is actively involved in his community, supporting Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Institute, Buffalo Jewish Federation, and The Holocaust Resource Center of Buffalo.

Education:

He earned a bachelor’s degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology and completed the University at Buffalo’s Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership program.
