As a surety executive, Anto specializes in contract surety, commercial surety, and risk management.

Experience:

With 10+ years of experience, Anto develops strategies and tailored recommendations to help clients qualify for bonding and increase capacity. He works closely with the Director of Surety to evaluate new and existing accounts, identify underwriting needs, and ensure clients are well- positioned for approval. Anto meets regularly with contractors and surety companies to establish bonding programs and negotiate favorable terms and rates. He maintains underwriting authority with bond carriers, ensuring all submissions align with company standards.

Additionally, Anto serves as a trusted resource for the bond department, producers, and branch associates, providing guidance on marketing, complex bond cases, and specialized bond forms and obligations.

Prior to Lawley, Anto gained extensive experience in risk management and surety services, particularly within the construction industry. Most recently, Anto served as Director of Surety at his previous firm, where he oversaw the entire surety division and managed a diverse portfolio of clients. This background provided Anto with a deep understanding of risk evaluation, operational strategy, and client management, which he leverages in his role at Lawley.

Accreditations:

Anto holds a NYS Life, Accident, & Health license, a Property & Casualty license, an Excess & Surplus license, and is  an Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI).

Education:

Anto earned a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University.
