PLEASE NOTE: The employer mandate provisions of the Affordable Care Act, also known as the employer shared responsibility or pay or play rules, impose penalties on large employers that do not offer affordable minimum value coverage.  On July 2, 2013 the Department of Treasury announced a delay in the effective date of these payments, postponing them for one year until 2015.  Any references made in the documents below to the employer mandate should reflect an effective date of 2015.
